Yu might be importing a mid-range 4G smartphone YU5200 to India soon. According to this report, one can expect a 5.2 inch screen, 4G and dual SIM support. Another source in the report reveals that it will be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC, similar to the Yureka Plus, and will have 3GB of RAM.
Additional rumoured specifications mentioned in the Fonearena report include a 1.6GHz Octa-cre 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 16GB internal memory and expandable memory with microSD.
The phone will most possibly run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It will feature a 13MP read camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording and a 5MP front facing camera.
In terms of connectivity the phone will support 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, says the report.
The report also adds that the price is expected to be in the less than Rs. 10,000 range, as it has been imported to India at Rs. 9,036.
Towards the end of last year, Yu had launched its steeply priced smartphone Yu Yutopia, at Rs. 24,999. In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution along with 565ppi. It also comes with 91 percent NTSC spec, pure black touch panel, OGS display with Corning Concore Glass for protection. It is powered by a 2GHz octa core Snapdragon 810 processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM. It also packs in an Adreno 430 GPU. It comes equipped with an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded via microSD card.
It sports a 21MP rear camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor, phase detect AF and OIS, 4K recording at 60fps, and 8MP front facing camera. The Yu Yutopia also comes with a round finger print sensor to unlock phone as well as take selfies. It packs in a 3000mAh battery. The device to come with Cyanogenmod 12.1. It uses Quick Charge 2.0 from Qualcomm. In addition, it comes with Little Bird by The House of Marley earbuds.
